John Harold Ray, 66, of Eagle Rock, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

He was born Oct. 7, 1955, in Nevada, the son of Orville and Mary Jane (Wheeler) Ray. On July 18, 1981, he was united in marriage to Sharon Barnum, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Carl Eugene Ray and his wife Cora of Butterfield; one brother, Charles Ray of Lexington; and five grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two grandchildren; four brothers, Tom Ray, Gene Ray, Carl Ray and Lonnie Ray; and two sisters, Mary Briner and Sharon Schieber.

He grew up and attended school in Butler. He was employed by Poe Concrete in Eagle Rock.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Christopher Moore conducted the services. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville at a later date.
