Cadet Greg Fogg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fogg, of Seligman, has completed his freshman year at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York.

Cassville’s First American Field Service student going out of the country, Rick Linnenbrink, leaves June 19 for Sucre, Bolivia, for a summer program. He is the son of Mrs. Stella Linnenbrink, of Cassville.

Becky Henningson, of Cassville, took first place in championship flight at the second annual Women’s Invitational Tournament at Cedar Creek Country Club near Shell Knob.

Eleven of the 17 property owners involved in condemnation of land for re-routing Highway 39 into Shell Knob, have filed exceptions with the Barry County Circuit Court on value placed on their property.

A student from Purdy High School has been selected to serve as president of the Missouri Association of Future Homemakers of America. Traci Hanson, a junior at Purdy, was named to the position during the state conference, according to her advisor Betty Sparkman.

The 1982 Miss Exeter Beauty Pageant will be held June 12. The contestants will be judged by Mary Beck, Wayne Rowland and Glenda Ward, all of Cassville. Contestants are: Cheri Chappell, Sonya Lansdown, Sandy Davis, Karen Mattingly, Robin Callaway, Lisa McNabb, Stephanie Still, Stacey Longley, Angela Newman, Crystal Marshall, Shelly Warren, Missy Edie and Janease Robbins.

Becky Kime, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Kime, of Cassville, was the recipient of Computer Center Work Study award at the 74th annual awards ceremony at School of the Ozarks.

June 3, 1992

State Representative Nolan McNeill notified City of Cassville officials Monday that a Block Grant had been approved in the amount of $399,000. Cassville Mayor Rolland Meador said the city had requested $470,000 in the grant applications sent in March. The funds will be used for a community development projects.

Twenty-six members of the Cassville High School graduating class of 1942 held their class reunion May 22, with class members coming from six different states.

Navy Airman Recruit Scott O. Prewitt, son of Larry Prewitt of Wheaton and Glenda Mason of Exeter, recently completed the Basic Aviation Ordnanceman Course in Memphis, Tenn. He is a 1991 graduate of Wheaton High School.
