Delores June Forrester, 69, of Rocky Comfort, passed away in her home on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1953, to Charles E. and Ruby Jewel (Dalton) Poe near Simco. She attended McDonald County School System where she graduated in 1971.

On Sept. 11, 2002, she was united in marriage to Jerry H. Forrester in Simco. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheaton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bill Poe of Fairview, Robert Poe, of California and (Charles) Leroy Poe of LaGrande, Ore.; three sisters, Marie Wellsley, of Texas, (Helen) Laurana Shrum of Washburn, and Betty Ruth Horton, of Simco.

Survivors include: her husband, Jerry H. Forrester; her daughter, Michele Gaither of Rocky Comfort, her daughter, Jayna Sewell and husband Mark of Bella Vista, Ark.; sisters, Mary Banks of Jane, and (Georgia) Charlene Bennett of Monett; sister-in-law, Bev Poe of Le Grande, Ore.; one brother, Jack Poe and Linda, of Noel; and brother-in-law, Robert Horton of Simco.

A Celebration of Life at First Baptist Church in Wheaton, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton will be on Saturday, July 30, at 10 a.m.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 29 at First Baptist Church in Wheaton.
