Lorene Alice Coones Carney, 94, of Shell Knob, died at her home on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022.

Surviving are five daughters, Donna Jones Morrison (David) of Harvest, Ala.; Elizabeth Jones Sheraden (Bruce) of Springfield, Ill.; Patricia Jones Cargile (Jack) of Washburn; Kathleen Jones Neal (Scott-deceased), Carol Jones Morrow (Johnny), of Topeka, Kan.; one sister, Shirley Coones Goin, of Warrensburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death was husband Troy Gene Carney; her parents; son, Jeffrey Charles Jones; great-grandson Charles Pierce Glendenning; father of her children Donald B. Jones; sister Reba Lucille Coones Turner (Tom), of Cassville; and brothers Gene D. Coones (Maetta Blythe), of Cassville and Leonard Carl Coones (Mae Lynn Holloway), of Springfield.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 12, at Old Carney Cemetery in Jenkins, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
