Janice Elaine Bagby, 75, Carthage, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at her home. Janice was born on August 7, 1947, in Wheaton, to the late Rev. James M. Wooten and Jewell (Lauderdale) Wooten. She was a graduate of Wheaton High School class of 1965. She was united in marriage to Jack Bagby on January 21, 1972, in Miami, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on January 11, 2006. Janice attended First Assembly of God Church in Carl Junction as long as her health allowed. Janice worked for Schreiber Foods and then owned and operated Janice Bagbys Janitorial
Services. Janice enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, but most of a l l loved spending time with family, especially her kids, and grandkids. Survivors include her three children, Jackie Linder (Chris), Carthage, Missouri, Justin Bagby (Mishelle), Carthage, Missouri, and Jeremy Bagby (Monica), Reeds, Missouri; three sisters; Ann Henson ( Don) Cassville, Missouri, Pat Thomas, Carthage, Missouri, and Irene Day (DeWayne) Exeter, Missouri; two brothers, Glen Wooten (Sherrie), Carthage, Missouri, and Kenny Wooten (Sue), Ironton, Missouri; brother-in-law, Clyde Bagby, Belton, Missouri, six granddaughters, Taylor, Ariel, Cali, Kelsi, Justice, and Justeen; three great granddaughters, Lainey, Kayla, and Brooklyn; two great grandsons, Maddox and Kingston; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Dale, James, Don, and Carroll; and two sisters Azalee Levy, and Helen Quade. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the Knell Mortuary, with burial following in the Fasken Cemetery in Carthage.
