Two men were injured on Tuesday in a wreck at 9:05 a.m. on Route C, four miles east of Purdy.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, John Mullins, 63, of Verona, was driving a 2022 International trash truck eastbound when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned.

Mullins and a passenger in the vehicle, John Williams, 45, of Aurora, each suffered minor injuries and were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Neither were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle sustained extensive damage.
