Lawrence and Barry County Democrats meeting

Lawrence and Barry County Democrats will meet on Thursday at the Angus Branch Steakhouse, located at 114 Chapel Drive in Monett. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. Those wishing to eat should arrive by 5:45 p.m., with each responsible for their own meal.

Lunch and Labor Auction raises funds for Europe trip

The class of 2023 at Cassville High School is hosting a Lunch and Labor Auction on Dec. 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the CHS commons. Cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child, and lunch includes soup, bread, dessert and a drink. Proceeds from the event benefit the class of 2023’s trip to Europe. People may purchase four hours of student labor at the auction for things like hanging Christmas decorations, wrapping presents, cleaning, odd jobs or yard work.

Farm Road 2040 bridge closed for repair

The Capps Creek Road District bridge on Farm Road 2040, west of the Polanski Catholic Church, will be closed for repairs until further notice.

Seligman dances ongoing each Saturday

The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. There is a potluck, 50-50 drawing and door prizes. For more information, people may call 417-662-3612.
