Mary Jo Chandler was born on January 15, 1932, to John and Jennie Schildknecht in Chicago, IL. The family moved to Cassville when Mary Jo was 9 years old. She called Cassville her hometown. She married Kenneth W. Chandler on April 15, 1950.

Mary Jo is survived by daughter-in-law Margaret Chandler, sons Patrick/Jessica, Sean/Michelle, Corey/Gabe; son-in-law David Sanford, sons Aaron, Ryan/Mandy, Kyle/Mallory; great grandchildren, Peyton, Riley Chandler/Gauge, Gunnar, Landry Chandler, Colton, Carter, Candas Sanford, and Emory Ann Sanford; great-great grandchild Teagan Burlison.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Jennie; her husband of 30 years, Kenneth W., son John Kenneth, daughter Julie Ann, brother Ralph Schildknecht and his wife Martha.

Mary Jo was a member of the Raytown Christian Church for 60 years. She worked at Avon Products for 22 years. She spent her retirement years in the company of her many friends, traveling and playing many games of bridge. She spent the winter months with her niece, Carol Kershner. She will be missed by the many people who loved her, especially her grandsons and great grandchildren.

Services for Mary Jo were held at Raytown Christian Church on Monday, November 14.
