The Christmas season often brings out people who are more than willing to offer a helping hand to those who need it the most. For many reasons, the Barry County Neighborhood Center has organized program after program to help the community.

A Cassville man suspected of multiple commercial burglaries is now facing six felonies and one misdemeanor in three separate cases. Jamison Jump, 20, of Cassville, is charged with stealing a motor vehicle and second degree burglary in one case; stealing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm and stealing $750 or more in a second case; and second-degree burglary and misdemeanor second-degree property damage.

The Kings Prairie Special Road District commissioners will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Angus Branch Steakhouse in Monett.
