CS Bank names new assistant manager

Lifelong Barry County resident moves up from deposit services rep

A lifelong Barry County resident and Southwest graduate has been promoted to assistant branch manager of CS Bank’s Cassville location.

Jason Tennant, President and Chief Lending Officer, CS Bank, recently announced the appointment of Morgan Mitchell the position.

Mitchell will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of the deposit services staff and daily operations of the Cassville facility. As the bank continues to grow its client base, Mitchell will also assist with overseeing the continued enhancement of the local bank’s deposit- based products and services.

Mitchell was most recently a deposit services representative at the Cassville Location. She is a lifetime resident of Barry County, having graduated from Southwest High School and going on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business Marketing and Sales from Missouri State University in Springfield. Mitchell is a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

CS Bank is a $503 million- dollar, Northwest Arkansas based bank with seven locations throughout the area and plans for continued expansion, including a second location in south Harrison, Ark.

CS Bank has made other promotions and announcements in the area recently. They include:

• Melissa Casey was promoted to the title of Executive Vice President/ Chief Administrative Officer, retaining her title of Chief Financial Officer in addition to her new role. Casey is a 27-year veteran of the institution, having started her banking career with CS Bank in 1995. She became Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer in 2012 and has served as a member of the Executive Management team since 2014. She is a resident of Berryville, Ark., where she lives with her husband Charles. She has three children, serves on the Mercy Hospital Board and is involved with numerous community and philanthropic endeavors throughout the area.

• Charlie Cross, CS Bank CEO, announced the addition of a Customer Care Center to further support the local bank’s growing client base and geographical footprint. The Customer Care Center, located within the bank’s Berryville, Ark., facility, will be responsible for assisting customers with daily needs and questions related to their banking, as well as support the new video teller platform being migrated to by the bank in its drive-thrus in 2023. Meredith Miller, Assistant Vice President and former Branch Manager, who has been with the bank since 2015 will oversee Care Center staff and daily operations.

• Joe Don Sharp was hired as Senior Vice President/Loan Officer of for the bank’s Boone County Market. Born and raised in Yellville, Sharp graduated from Yellville High School in 1996 and then went on to attend College of the Ozarks. He resides in Berryville with his wife Ashley and their two children Sadie and Sophia. Joe Don is a 16-year veteran of the banking industry. Prior to joining CS Bank, he served as Senior Vice President of Lending at Bank of 1889 for their Harrison (Ark.) and Yellville (Ark.) locations. Additionally, he is a member of the Harrison Lions Club, served on the Yellville Chamber of Commerce for 7 years, and is a member of Living Faith Church in Berryville.

• Booker Cox, III, has been appointed to CS Bank’s Governing Board of Directors. Cox is Broker/ Owner of Foggy River Realty in Branson and resides in Blue Eye with his wife Dana. Cox started his real estate company over thirty years ago and has served on the Board of Directors for the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors.
