Homer John “Jake” Forester, 93, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Cassville, in Cassville.

He was born in Galena, on Dec. 23, 1929, the son of Henry and Opal (Branstetter) Forester who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was wife, Lanora Wilson; one sister, Irene Beck and a baby brother, Irvin.

Survivors include, two sons, Greg Forester and his wife Cindy of Aurora, and Farrell Forester and his wife Connie of Strafford; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jake grew up and attended Vine Hill School in Galena. He was an over road truck driver and owned and operated his own truck. He was a member of Life Fellowship in Aurora.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Greg Forester conducted the services. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville.
