Janice (Jan) Elaine Miller (Bowen), 78, She was born Jan. 9, 1944, to Rual and Marie (Hardwick) Bowen of Cassville, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include, husband Dannie (Dan) Miller; two children, Chris (Sue Ellen) Miller, Stephanie (Jeff) King, and five grandchildren; brother and sister in law Don and Carolyn Bowen; her nieces, Jennifer (Mark) Shumaker, her children and grandchildren and Annette Cozort, her children and grandchildren, and her aunt Shirley Bowen.

She went on to graduated from Cassville High School and attended Burge Protestant School of Nursing in Springfield where she became a registered nurse. She retired as a Director of Nursing at the Independence Health Care Nursing Home in Independence.

Visitation was held from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
