Ernest James Forbes, 68, of Monett, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville.

He was born May 19, 1954, in Paw Paw, Mich., the son of Ernest Edward and Mabel Louise (Allen) Forbes, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include, two daughters, Cindy Morgan and Kandy Black; three sons, Andrew Forbes, Kyle Forbes and Brian Forbes and three grandchildren.

Ernest was self-employed in retail sales. He enjoyed buying and reselling guns and antiques.

Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
