Thaddeus Matthew “Matt” Cooper, 43, of Eagle Rock, Missouri passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, from a drug overdose.

He was born in Cassville, on Dec. 9, 1979, the son of Jeff and Linda (Wheeler) Cooper.

Surviving are his father, Jeff and his wife Tabetha Cooper of Cassville; his mother, Linda Cooper of Cassville; one son, Maddox Cooper of Cassville; one brother, Jacob Cooper of Springfield, and his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Elsie Cooper of Cassville.

Matt was a graduate of Cassville High School in 1998 and the University of Missouri in 2003. His career consisted of various leadership roles and entrepreneurial endeavors. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cassville.

Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
