Steven “Steve” Dale Freke, 75, of Cassville, passed away Feb. 3, 2023, with family by his side.

He was born December 30, 1947, the son of Dale Vernon and Laura Dorothy (Parcell) Freke in Aurora, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandy Dahn.

Survivors include, his wife, Debra Lawyer of Cassville; son, Brandon Lawyer of Cassville; daughter, Amanda (Josh) Meyer of Havre, Mont.; and his dog, Charlie.

Steve proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and earned the rank of sergeant. He went to North Dakota State University, where he received a bachelorís degree in engineering and played football all four years. Steve had a strong belief in the Presbyterian foundations.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at Saint Thomas Becket Episcopal Church, 13595 State Hwy 112 and crossroads of AA, Cassville MO., 65625.†Arrangementsand cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
