Vera Lanell Smith

Vera Lanell Smith, 80, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born April 3, 1942, in Cassville, the daughter of E. B. “Billy” and Louise (Bishop) Stockton, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Darrel Smith.

Survivors include four sons, Marty Smith and his wife Jodi of Aurora, Brian Smith and his wife Brenda of Aurora, Ronald Smith and his wife Rhonda of Cassville, and Donald Smith and his wife Debbie of Cassville; one daughter Tonya Smith of Aurora; nine grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

She grew up and attended school in Cassville, Missouri. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God in Marionville.

Services were held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Rex Mooneyham conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins, Missouri.
