Lucille E. Taylor (Lucy), age 91, of Fairview, MO, went to be with her heavenly father on March 30, 2023. She passed away in her home surrounded by her family. Lucy was born September 3, 1931 in Benedict, KS. She was the daughter of the late Loren and Cordia (Varner) Owens.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Taylor and her daughter, Sandy Taylor.

Other children include, Danny Taylor of Fairview and Patricia Busch of Monett.

Lucy had seven grandchildren, David, Richard, Cindy, Bryan, Amy, Maria, and Robert. She also had fourteen, great-grandchildren and four greatgreat grandchildren. Lucy worked as a switchboard operator in Fredonia, KS. while attending High School in Altoona KS. She was in the graduating class of 1949. She married the love of her life Bill Taylor on March 20th.

Lucy retired from Boeing in Wichita KS. as a personnel manager after 20 years. After retirement she couldn’t sit idle and worked at the Social Security Office, the school kitchen in Monett and went on to work as a clerk at the Auction House. She later worked for Walmart in Monett, till the age of 87. Lucy attended church in Rocky Comfort at the Chapel of the Ozarks. She enjoyed camping, going to the casino, spending time with family and hosting family dinner.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett. Reverend Billy Joe Gentry officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
