Former Cassville coach inducted into Hall of Fame

Former Cassville basketball and softball coach Randy Robertson, front row, second from left, was inducted into the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class of 2023. Robertson has a career record of over 500 wins. He was named Conference Coach of the Year four times, winning the conference nine times and capturing five district championships. In 2000, Robertson finished as state runner-up at Billings. Robertson has had six All-State players and one collegiate player, his son, Brett. He is known as a players coach, and those that play for him are taught valuable life lessons that they carry throughout life. “Coach Robertson coached for over 30 years in the state of Missouri and accumulated over 500 wins during that time. His resume speaks for itself.” nominating Coach Mike Howard said. Robertson was the boys basketball coach for four years at Cassville, and he wasd the softball assistant and a teacher at Cassville for 10 years.
