On March 1 and 2, nearly 50 Cassville Junior Beta Club members attended the State Beta Club Conference at the Branson Convention Center.
The 2022-23 school year is the inaugural year for the Cassville club.
The mission of Beta is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.
While at the convention, members competed in several different events. The top five in each category receive a plaque and have qualified to compete at the National Beta Club Competition this June in Louisville, Kent.
Results are as follows:
• Abby Nickol: Elementary Digital Art, fourth place
• Reagan Johnson: Elementary Color Photography, third place
• Riley Clifford: Elementary Quilling, fourth place
• Scoti Blankenship: Elementary Recyclable Art, third place
• Jackson Trent: Elementary Hand-Drawn Anime, second place
• Jamison Boone, Kobhe Ware and Dexter Beyer: Elementary Marketing and Communications, fourth place
• Sylas Roark: Elementary Performing Arts, Solo Instrumentalist, second place
• Aiden Harris: Fourth Grade Science Champion
• Cooper Phillips: Sixth Grade Science Champion
