Four grants totaling $3,450 from the Cassville Education Fund were awarded to Cassville teachers on May 12 at the school campus.

Seventh- and eighth-grade science teacher Casey Parsons received $1,300 for chemistry sets, microscopes and slide sets.

Cassville Middle School art teacher Cindy Holman was awarded $1,000 for ceramic supplies.

Fourth-grade teacher Maria San Paolo received $700 towards the purchase of double-sided white boards for math classes.

Cassville Middle School language arts teacher Janet Yunk was presented $450 to buy books for classroom libraries.

Established in 2010 by community volunteers, the Cassville Education Fund is a permanent endowment fund benefiting Cassville R-IV school district academic programs.

Grants from the fund are awarded annually.

More than $30,000 in grants has been awarded to Cassville teachers in the past 13 years.
