11th Street to close
Project preparing to cross over Main With open trench construction making progress along 11th Street last week, construction this week will move closer to and eventually across Main Street, with multiple street closures expected. Work will continue in the 300 and 400 Blocks of 11th Street, between East and Harold streets.
Electric vehicle chargers coming to Roaring River
The Department of Natural Resources continues to reach new milestones in its goal of expanding access to electric vehicle charging stations in the Show-Me State. Within Missouri’s share of the Volkswagen Trust Fund, about $6 million was made available for EV charging infrastructure installations.

Cassville’s two ball parks now have the most modern lighting available. Summer activities will be conducted on he two parks, giving much more play area available to programs. Installation of new lights on the second field was com-Meted this week in a joint effort of Barry Electric Cooperative and equipment from KAMO Electric at Vinita, Okla. With quick dispatch the project of installing eight poles, ranging in length from 60 to 70 feet, was completed during part of a morning’s effort. KAMO crews assisted since local equipment will not handle the lengthy poles. Cassville doles out academic awards
Following an academic awards assembly last week, Cassville High School announced its valedictorian and salutatorian for this year’s graduation ceremony, held Sunday at Wildcat Stadium. The Valedictorian and Salutatorian are recognized based on the Summa Cum Laude requirements.

The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society will host a Mother’s Day Tea at the Bayless-Salyer House, located at 9th and Townsend streets, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cassville announces valedictorian, salutatorian
Following an academic awards assembly this week, Cassville High School has announced its valedictorian and salutatorian for this year’s graduation ceremony, set for Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
