SHELL KNOB TAB: A little Italy in Shell Knob
Restaurant owners Charlie and Brooke Brown listen to their diners. After too many to count requested their Italian eatery in Cassville, Geraldi’s, open a Shell Knob location, the Browns delivered.

Trout Tales, May 3
The SKITS crew has done it again! I spent Friday at their “Mission Possible” play, which left the room laughing harder (but less maniacally) than Silverthumb in Act I. These professional amatuers deserve credit for the time they put in, the confidence in their deilvery, and their ability to laugh off a mistake or two. SKITS pretty much sticks to comedy, but I’d love to see them take on something new. Maybe an adventure story where yours truly could play a part? I know who I would be, but who would be Ishmael?

Overdoses on the rise
Overdose deaths in Barry County, southwest Missouri, statewide and nationally are all on the rise, and according to the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team, for every recorded overdose, there may be three times as many more. Chad Allison, commander of ODET, which covers five southwest Missouri counties, said though they know overdoses are occurring, tracking overdose deaths is a challenging task.

Cassville coach faces felony assault charges
A Cassville assistant football and wrestling coach was arrested on Friday night after an argument allegedly turned violent. Benjamin Glidewell, 42, of Cassville, is charged with second- degree domestic assault, third-degree domestic assault and abuse of a child.

Kyle Troutman: A home and a pathway
I have spent a lot of time in the past couple weeks talking to people about addiction, drug use and the dangers and solutions for both. Last week, I talked to Chad Allison, commander of the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team, for about half an hour.

Leach, Sanders, Arguelles make college selections
Three senior Cassville boys athletes signed letters of intent on April 26 to continue their careers in college, one in cross country and track, a second in rugby, and a third in wrestling. Caleb Leach, Class 3 cross country state medalist and new school record-holder in the 3200-meter, penned his name with the University of Missouri-St.
