Woman injured in Hwy. 248 wreck

Vehicle overturns in crash one mile east of Cassville

A Cassville woman was injured on Wednesday in a wreck at 3:25 p.m. on Highway 248, one mile east of Cassville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Marvel Roark, 85, of Cassville, was driving a 2020 Jeep Wrangler eastbound when his vehicle failed to yield at a fourway intersection, causing a northbound 2014 Ford Escape, being driven by Linda Crumpler, 67, of Cassville to strike the Jeep and overturn.

Crumpler suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Roark was not injured.

Both were wearing safety devices. The Ford was totaled, and the Jeep sustained moderate damage.
