Concert to benefit children’s cancer research

Zone 4 Mini Golf & More will host a live performance by Buffalo Joe’s Band on Friday and Saturday from 7-9 p.m. each night. The concert is at no charge, and proceeds from free will donations will benefit children’s cancer research. Zone 4 is located at 16007 State Hwy. 76 in Cassville.

Cassville Branch Library events scheduled

Activities at the Cassville Branch Library this week include: Thursday, “Fishin; Magicians” presentation at FEMA Event Center at 1:30 p.m., Toastmasters at 6 p.m.; Friday, Chair Yoga/ QiGong at 9 a.m.

Zone 4 hosting ‘Ozarks Got Talent’

Zone 4 Mini Golf & More in Cassville will host the inaugural “Ozarks Got Talent” talent show on July 29 at the mini golf facility’s amphitheater. Acts may be up to five minutes long, and the last day to register is July 12. The time of the show is to be determines, and there is a $20 registration fee. A cash prize will go to the winner. Back to School Fair signups this month

Signups for the 22nd Annual OACAC Back to School Fair will be held through Friday by appointment only at OACAC Barry County Neighborhood Center, located at 10826 Farm Road 2172 in Cassville. Students Pre-K through 12th grade are eligible for the Fair. Social Security cards for all household members, photo ID, and proof of income for the previous month are required. Purdy Community Picnic and Fireworks show scheduled

The Purdy Community Picnic and Fireworks Show will be held Monday at the Gathering Place in Purdy, located at 100 Old Business 37 and Highway C, beginning at 6 p.m. There will be a picnic meal, live musical entertainment and a fireworks show at dark. Shell Knob nominated for Small Town Showcase

Shell Knob has been nominated in the 2024 Small Town Showcase, where five communities will be featured after voting on the 36 total towns nominated. Voting will close on July 15, and the five communities with the most votes will be featured in the 2024 Small Town Showcase. Old Church Gallery Farmers’ Market open

The Old Church Gallery Farmers’ Market runs every Thursday from 8-11 a.m. The Market offers fresh produce, eggs, jellies, relishes, baked goods, cut flowers, handmade crafts and more. OATS rides available in Barry County

OATS Transit offers regular transportation services for the rural general public of any age, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Please call the local OATS Transit office at 417-887-9272 or 800-770-6287 to schedule a ride or find out about services in the Barry County area. People may also visit the OATS website at oatstransit. org to view local schedules under “Bus Schedules,” then click on the county of service. OATS offices will be closed, and regular routes will not be running on Feb. 20 for Presidents’ Day. Please keep this in mind as trips are scheduled near these holidays. OATS Transit is hiring drivers statewide to can continue serving riders. Openings are listed on the OATS website.

Seligman dances ongoing each Saturday

The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. There is a potluck, 50-50 drawing and door prizes. For more information, people may call 479-903-3640.
