Bernice Estelle Anthony, 87, of Seligman, Mo. passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Mo.

She was born December 1, 1935, in Berwyn, Ill., the daughter of George and Bernice (Peterson) Waggoner, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Henry “Hank” Anthony, and two sisters, Lorraine Glomb and Margaret Ahmer.

Survivors include one sister, Sally Mae Kush of Reseda, Calif. and a half sister, Karen Waggoner of Arbor Vitae, Wis., and two half-brothers, Tom Waggoner of Wis. and George Waggoner of Almond, Wis.

She attended school in Chicago, Ill., graduating from Kelly High School. She was employed as an inspector at a local chicken plant for several years.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Bernice.
