Les and Jan Cooper, of Cassville, are celebrating 50 years of not strangling one another on Aug. 25. The Coopers’ granddaughter, Janessa Sullivan, said, “They have laughed, cried, had their arguments, but they always got through it together. They keep humor in their lives by picking on one another, even sticking their tongue out when the other turns their back. They are the best people anyone could ask for in their lives. They do so much for us, and we wanted to celebrate them this week. They have loved unconditionally through these years towards each other and their family. We love you guys, and you’re amazing parents/ grandparents! We have truly been blessed!” Les and Jan Cooper were married in Barry County at a relative’s home and have three daughters and four grandchildren. Contributed photos
