Loraine Anne Blevins, (Aunt Buzz) a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away on October 21, 2023, at Cox South Medical Center, at the age of 75. She was born on July 25, 1948, to Charles and Marjourie Hubert, in the coastal city of San Diego, California, where her spirit was shaped by the sun-kissed shores and endless ocean horizons.
Loraine led a fulfilling and meaningful life, cherished by the people who had the privilege of knowing her. She dedicated her career to serving others as a Service Representative at Southwestern Bell and AT&T, where she touched countless lives through her commitment to exceptional customer care.
She was united to the love of her life, Ralph Blevins Jr on July 19, 1968, at the Chapel at School of the Ozarks.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Loraine found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an undeniable love for the beach, where she could often be found basking in the golden rays, breathing in the salty ocean air, and feeling the sand between her toes. Additionally, she possessed a playful spirit and held a fondness for the thrill of casinos, where she indulged in the excitement of games of chance.
Loraine will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her son David Blevins, daughter- in-law Julie Blevins, granddaughter Alexa Mason, and grandson Zachary Mason; two nieces Button Mann and her husband Eric of Washburn MO and Susie Hubert of Oklahoma; and one nephew, Charlie Tabor and wife C.J. of Cassville, MO, and her beloved grandpuppy, Bella. Her love and unwavering support will forever remain in their hearts as a testament to her genuine and nurturing nature. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Ralph Blevins Jr; parents, Charles and Marjourie Hubert; her beloved son, Mark; and one sister, Marjourie Tabor.
As we gather to mourn the loss of an extraordinary woman, we invite all family, friends, and acquaintances to join us in honoring Loraine’s life. A celebration of Loraine’s life was at 2 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
In remembrance of Loraine, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in her name to a charity of choice, as a reflection of her compassionate and giving spirit.
Loraine Anne Blevins will forever be regarded as a ray of sunshine whose love, kindness, and laughter brightened the lives of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, forever reunited with the ocean waves she adored and the joy she brought to those around her.
