Sharon “Gayle” Young, 75, of Washburn, Mo. passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, Mo.

She was born March 18, 1948, in Green Forest, Ark., the daughter of Paul and Vernetta Lucille (Carnelison) Morris who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was one brother, Wayne Morris and two nephews, Kenneth Howard Colvin, Jr. and Lucas Morris.

Survivors include her husband James Young,; and children, Shawna Young of Washburn, Mo.; Scott Young and his wife Sheryl of Washburn, Mo.; Clint Maddox and his wife Tammy of Washburn, Mo.; Dave Stover and his wife Sandy of Seligman, Mo.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many honorary children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Dan Morris of Buffalo, Mo.; one sister, Kay Colvin of Seligman, Mo. and many nieces and nephews.

She attended school in Blue Eye, Mo., graduating from Blue Eye High School. She was employed by Justin Boots as a seamstress for several years.

Services were held Friday, November 3, 2023, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Glenn Erwin and Pastor Dale Stover conducted the services. Burial was at Hickman Cemetery in Washburn, Mo.
