If you’re here looking for jokes, we had a hard time coming up with many this week. It was a somber few days at the office as we reflected on the passing of former editor Bob Mitchell, a U.S. Navy veteran, culminating in Friday’s annual Veterans Day assembly at Cassville High School. Here, we see the demonstration of the 13 folds of the U.S. Flag. Coming from a family with multiple members in the military, it’s heartening to see all the veterans who turn out for this event and how much they are truly appreciated. In today’s social climate, it’s great to see the cooperation at the school and with the community to honor those who protect our freedom. If my fin could reach, I’d give you all a major salute!
