‘Bless Your Neighbor’s Table’

As the holidays have arrived, Cassville Pantry is launching its annual fundraising campaign, ‘Bless Your Neighbor’s Table,’ to ensure that no one in the Cassville community goes hungry during the Christmas season.

It is a time of year when those who have abundance can share with others who may be facing a darker season in life. Not only coping with financial hardships, many individuals find themselves dealing with loss and loneliness this time of year.

Cassville Pantry’s initiative invites the community to come together and make a difference by donating $25 to provide a holiday meal for a family in need. We aim to spread hope by ensuring that every family can gather around a nutritious and delicious meal during the holidays.

‘Our community has always demonstrated incredible generosity, and the ‘Bless Your Neighbor’s Table’ campaign is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who may be struggling,’ said Janet Mills, Pantry director. ‘By donating just $25, individuals can help us provide holiday meals to families facing food insecurity and make this season a little brighter for everyone. When we talk with our visitors, they are doing their best to stay afloat and keep their lives running smoothly. Faced with the high cost of food, housing, and healthcare, families find their resources are stretched thin and limited.

‘We hope others will feel inspired to join in to draw close to persons facing difficulties. We aim to offer friendship and to demonstrate there are people who care about them. Our words may fall short, but our actions can give rise to encouragement. They may serve as an expression of gratitude for our own abundance by sharing sustenance with others. The holidays present a challenging time for many families. Our goal is to alleviate some of that stress by providing nourishing meals. ‘Bless Your Neighbor’s Table’ is not just a campaign, it is a community- wide effort to spread love and compassion.”

For every $25 donation made through Dec. 23, the donor will receive an entry into a raffle to receive a prize. The winner of the raffle will be gifted with a stunning original barn quilt painting by local artist Darci Englin.

Individuals can get involved and provide blessings to tables in need of some extra help this Christmas. Connect to the food pantry on their website at cassvillepantry. com, drop by in person, or mail in a donation to Cassville Pantry at 800 W 10th St. Cassville, MO 65625.

Every dollar contributed to the campaign will go directly toward purchasing the necessary ingredients for holiday meals.

“As we enter the season of giving, let’s come together as a community and make a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors,” Mills said. “Join the Bless Your Neighbor’s Table campaign, and together, let’s ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy a warm and hearty holiday meal.”

In addition to individual donations, Cassville Pantry welcomes partnerships with local businesses, organizations and schools to amplify the impact of the effort to fight local hunger.
