Home Community Pet of the week, Dec. 6 Pet of the week, Dec. 6December 6, 2023Community, Lifestyle Boomer told Santa all he wants for Christmas is a home where he can have a cozy bed and lots of cuddles. He has been in the shelter over 230 days and he is stressed. Boomer is a lovebug in a big, clumsy, lanky body. He takes a little while to warm up to new people, but then he loves attention, playing, and rolling on top of people for cuddles. He is fast and needs a yard to run in. He should be in a home without other dogs and without children, as both make him very nervous. “Nervous” is probably the best word to describe him, but the Haven believe he’d blossom into a whole new dog once he’s out of the stressful shelter environment and has time to acclimate in his new space. His estimated DOB is Oct. 3, 2019. All of the Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary’s pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week. For more information, people may email havenozarksanctuary@ gmail.com or call 417-8353647.
