Virginia Lee Roller, age 98, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, Missouri.
She was born April 18, 1925, in Garfield, Arkansas, the daughter of Ernest and Alpha (Taylor) Garrett. On May 10, 1947, in Rogers, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Leonard Roller, who preceded her in death on December 25, 1995. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Jim Garrett; three sisters, Zelda Relethford, Carolyn Drake and Irene Weis and one grandson, Braden Roller.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Roller and his fiancée Darlene Taylor of Aurora, Missouri and Richard Roller and his wife Angel of Racine, Missouri; one sister, Marie Kenley of Wichita, Kansas; six grandchildren, Melanie Pierce, Eric Roller, Jerek Bowman, Joshua Roller, Jeremiah Roller and Tegan Roller and ten great-grandchildren.
Virginia grew up and attended school in Garfield, Arkansas graduating from Garfield High School. She later attended the University of Arkansas, Missouri Southern and Missouri State University. Virginia taught school at Bayless, Garfield and Seligman schools and later was employed by Southwest High School at Washburn, Missouri as the librarian from where she retired after 35 years.
Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Dale Stover conducted the services. Burial will be at Seligman Cemetery in Seligman, Missouri.
The family received friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
