Santa Claus was on the final float at the Cassville Christmas Parade on Saturday, waving to children, offering Christmas greetings and even divulging who was on the nice list and who had some work to do. The Parade is sponsored by the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce and had more than 100 entries.

Virginia Lee Roller, age 98, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, Missouri. She was born April 18, 1925, in Garfield, Arkansas, the daughter of Ernest and Alpha (Taylor) Garrett.
Donna Kay (Hanby) Standlee was born on February 26, 1940. Lovingly called “Mimi” by her grandchildren, Donna Kay passed away peacefully in her home in Golden, Missouri, on November 27, 2023. She was surrounded by her family, who – at the end of her days – took care of her after a year-long battle with colon cancer, as she had taken care of them all her life.
