Four Purdy residents were injured on Jan. 1 in a wreck at 6:55 p.m. on Highway 37, half a mile north of Purdy.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, McKenzie Renkoski, 22, of Purdy, was driving a 2016 Ford Focus eastbound when her vehicle pulled into the path of a southbound 2012 Buick Enclave, being driven by Jennifer Talbert, 43, of Purdy.
Renkoski and Talbert, as well as two passengers in Talbert’s vehicle, 41-year-old Joshua Talbert and an 8-year-old female, all sustained moderate injuries.
Renkoski was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, and the three individuals in Talbert’s vehicle were transported to Cox South in Springfield.
Renkoski was the only person involved in the crash who was wearing a safety device. Both vehicles were totaled.
