Carolyn Ruth Charles, 89, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Mo.

She was born March 19, 1934, in Exeter, Mo. the daughter of Joe and Amanda (Montgomery) Jones, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Charles; four brothers and eight sisters.

Survivors include one son, Dan Charles and his wife Kim of Bella Vista, Ark.; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Wheaton High School in Wheaton, Mo. in 1952 as Valedictorian of her class later attending Southwest Missouri State University for a short time. After returning to Exeter in 1971 she was employed by the Production Credit Association until going to work for Justin Boot Company as a secretary from where she retired in 1997.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Exeter. Pastor Jerry Yarnall and Pastor Donnie Spears will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Mo..

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
