Edward Martin “Ed” Gallagher, 86, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1937, in Abington, Pa., the son of Martin Edward and Helen Frances (McDonald) Gallagher, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death was one daughter, Brenda Senko; two sisters, Frances, and Elaine and one grandson, Brian Patrick Gallagher II.
Survivors include his wife, Earlene Coulter; one son, Brian Patrick Gallagher and his wife Valerie of Washington, Va.; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He attended school in Philadelphia, Pa. graduating from Catholic High School. He later attended California State University in Long Beach where he attained a bachelor’s degree in economics. He was employed by Riverside County Flood Control in Riverside, Calif. from where he retired in 1998. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cassville.
Private services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo. at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
