Shirley M. Tucker

Shirley M. Tucker went to meet her Savior on January 31, 2024, at 8:45 a.m. in Springfield, Missouri. She was born to Carl and R Perkins in Cassville, Missouri at the old Cassville Hospital.

She accepted the Lord as her Savior in the Old Corinth Baptist Church and was baptized in Flat Creek on October 19, 1948.

She graduated from Cassville High School in May 1952. She worked for the Division of Welfare in Stone County and Barry County before marrying Floyd O. Tucker on April 9, 1960, in Corinth Baptist Church and moving to Springfield, Missouri. Shirley worked for Mellers Photo Labs for over 12 years and for Gillenwaters Developers for over 25 years.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Floyd of 55 years, her parents, an infant sister (Wanda), her in-laws (Oliver and Ardelia), and brother and sister-in-law (Jack and Ellen).

She is survived by a son Bryan (wife Rachel) and two grandsons Levi (wife Britney) and Noah (fiancé Holliday Saxton). A daughter Karen Brown (Michael) and two grandsons Josh Logan of and Kiel Brown, all of Springfield. A sister Sharon Garrett (husband Bill) and three nieces and two nephews.

Graveside service will be handled by Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with Interment at Hazelwood Cemetery on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The casket will be closed except for family members.

In leu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Ozark building fund.
