Barbara Eloi Jones, age 84, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at her daughter’s home.
She was born July 22, 1939, in Seligman, Missouri the daughter of Woodrow William and Virginia Opal (Roller) Skelton. In 1957 she was united in marriage to Thomas “Tom” Prosser at the Baptist Church in Seligman, to this union one daughter, Patty was born. In 1964 she was united in marriage to Ward Terry, who preceded her in death in October of 1985.
On May 22, 1986, in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Jim Jones, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2014.
Also preceding her in death were her sister, Bernitta Brown and sisterin- law, Cathy Skelton.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia “Patty” Krull of Seligman, Missouri; a granddaughter, Terry Taylor and her husband Jeramiah of Rolla, Missouri; four great grandchildren, Dakota Taylor, Kendall Taylor, Landen Taylor and Connar Taylor; four stepsons, Mike Terry, Roger Terry, Steve Terry and Jeff Terry; two brothers, Gayle Skelton of Seligman, Missouri and Glen Skelton and his wife Delpha of Seligman, Missouri; and a brotherin- law, James Brown and his wife Helen of Arkansas.
Barbara grew up and attended school in Seligman, Missouri graduating from Southwest High School. She owned and operated several restaurants in Seligman, most notable the Dairy Hut and the Burger Bar. Barbara loved to cook, do puzzles, travel, and go shopping but most of all she loved her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
A private burial will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
