Harvey Marion “Harv” Nelson, 85, of Shell Knob, Mo. passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 in Shell Knob, Mo.
He was born July 29, 1938, in Wichita, Kan. the son of Herbert and Frances Lou “Frankie” (Kreutzer) Nelson, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were his ex-wife, Shirley J. Nelson, brother, Herb Nelson Jr. and sisters, Vivian Wycoff and Marlene Longnecker.
Survivors include his son, Edward E. Nelson, daughter, Cynthia D. Nelson, granddaughter, Taylor Vakulskas and sisters, Judy Adcock and Flossie Ross.
He worked on the family farm as a young adult, operating trucks and combines. When machinery broke down, he was the one fixing it. He was an Air Force member from 1958 to 1967, and he had a very successful career at Boeing from 1956 to 1998 and also owned various automotive businesses.
A virtual service will be held to honor Harv at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
