Robert “Bob” Wendall Windes

Robert “Bob” Wendall Windes, 90, of Washburn, Mo., passed away on April 21, 2024, in Rogers, Ark. Born on November 11, 1933 in Monett, Mo. to Wendall Alvin and Orlena (Grimes) Windes, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include, his wife, Norma Morgan; son Rob Windes and his wife Rhonda, as well as their daughter Kristy Brinkman and her husband Richard, all of whom reside in Washburn, Mo.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and his five grand dogs.

After graduating from Washburn High School in Washburn, he served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning to civilian life, he embraced the heartland’s work ethic as a cattle and chicken farmer. He became the owner and operator of Excel-Bio products for fifteen years.

Funeral Services with military honors were held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Dale Hoggatt and Ken West conducted the services. A private family burial will be at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn, Mo.
