Cassville High School golf teams hit a hole-in-one for hunger relief

The Cassville High School girls and boys golf teams hosted their annual fundraiser tournament on April 20, with resounding success, raising the highest amount ever, a record-breaking $625.

The funds, collected through spirited participation by both golf teams and community generosity, were donated to Cassville Pantry to help combat local food insecurity.

Throughout the tournament, members of both golf teams actively engaged with participants at the fundraiser hole, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere that contributed good will to the event. Golf Coach Jay Rogers, coordinator, expressed immense pride in the students’ dedication to helping others in need.

Cassville Pantry will utilize the donations to purchase groceries for distribution. Pantry director, Janet Mills, conveyed deep gratitude for the contribution and appreciation for the investment made by the golf teams and by the golfers’ participation.

‘These funds will make a significant difference in our efforts to fight hunger and provide essential support to our neighbors,’ Mills said. ‘This year’s enterprise marks a milestone for the Cassville High School golf teams, demonstrating the powerful impact of community collaboration and the dedication of young athletes to making a difference beyond the greens.’
