Arthur Lee “Art” Goddard, 83, of Cassville, Mo., passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville, Mo.

He was born January 14, 1941, in Wann, Oklah., the son of Earl and Cleora (Dewitt) Goddard.

Preceding him in death were his parents, along with his stepfather, and siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Grosse; two sons, Rick Goddard of Tustin, Calif., and Vic Goddard and his wife Denise of Dana Point, Calif.; two stepsons, Brad Gross and his wife Ashley of Cassville, Mo., and Brian Gross and his wife Tonya of Cassville, Mo.; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and one on the way.

He grew up and attended school in Riverside, Calif., graduating from Riverside Polytechnic High School in 1958. He worked laying carpet for a few years before owning and operating his own carpet business for 40 years.

Art and Carol had lived in Cassville for seven years, moving from Riverside, California in 2017.

He was of the Christian faith.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
