The Patch of Sunshine Childcare and Learning Center is enrolling children after becoming state-licensed recently.
The center, located across from Fast Trip at 101 Main St in Cassville, has been in place for several months and officially opened its doors in March.
‘A large remodel project prolonged our state licensing, but we are so excited to announce that we are currently state licensed and enrolling children now,’ said Candice Saylor, Patch of Sunshine director. ‘We understand that one major need for our community is state subsidized care, which we are now able to offer.’
At The Patch, children are encouraged to explore the world through handson experiences, educational opportunities ands diverse teaching modalities, and they are supported to exceed milestones through the center’s care.
‘Even the youngest minds are engaged in learning, exploring, and creating at The Patch,’ Saylor said. ‘We develop our own curriculum, [as I am] a Missouri State Certified Teacher with several years of public school teaching experience who knows the standards and needs to get your little learner ready for kindergarten and a love for life long learning.’
The Patch’s staff of teachers have years of experience in the educational field, including a former paraprofessional and early childhood educator, a state-licensed teacher and current college students. ‘We aim to provide outstanding care while also challenging your child to grow in a loving and positive environment,’ Saylor said. ‘Part of our uniqueness is our set up. Children rotate throughout the center each day exploring our music room (with music education), puzzle/ life skills room, interactive play room, reading room, classroom, imaginative play area, crafting area and outside play area.’
The Patch offers care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cassville’s school buses pick up and drop off in front of the center.
