Carole Ann Holmes, 75, of Golden, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

She was born November 19, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas the daughter of John Elwood and Etta Maurice (Williams) Mayer, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her stepfather, L.C. Wood. Survivors include her husband Paul Holmes; one son, Travis Jarnagin and his wife Mandy of Seligman, Mo.; one stepson, Jeff Holmes and his wife Shelly Phelps of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Lisa Holmes and her husband John Vincent of Portland, Ore., and Angela Holmes of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; one brother, David Mayer and his wife Becky of Davenport, Okla.; two stepbrothers, Lynn Wood and his wife Debi of Chickasha, Okla. and Mike Wood and his wife Cindy of Chickasha, Okla., and six grandchildren.

Her early life was marked by her graduation from Ninnekah High School in Ninnekah, Okla., in 1967, followed by some college education that laid the groundwork for her future endeavors.

She was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company, and later became part owner and office manager for Wood Ditching.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Mo.
