Jackie Allen Wells, age 84, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 2:38 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Jackie was born June 19, 1939, in Osa, Missouri the son of Walter “Jack” and Coda Mae (Rea) Wells.
Jackie was a 1958 graduate of Crane High School in Crane, Missouri and was a United States Army veteran. He was a farmer and retired from Carnation Milk Plant in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Jackie loved farming and he was an early riser and hard worker who took pride in spending time with his niece and nephews. Faith, family and friends were very important to him and liked to talk about old times. He was well versed in the history of the Osa Community.
Jackie is survived by one niece, Toni Andrus of Aurora, Missouri; three nephews, Darren Andrus and his wife, Nicole, of Nashville, Tennessee, Sherman Brown and his wife, Carol, and Mike Brown all of Marionville, Missouri; four great-nieces, Jennifer, Allie, and Chloe Andrus all of Nashville, Tennessee and Shelby Brown of Springfield, Missouri and one great-nephew, Wyley Brown of Marionville, Missouri.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Jack, and Coda and three sisters, Elizabeth Wells, Mary Jane Brown and her husband, Wesley and Betty Lou Andrus and her husband, Dale.
A graveside service under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Osa Cemetery, southeast of Aurora.
