Nadine Carlene Whitley, 94, of Ada, Okla., passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at her home.
She was born February 12, 1930, in Oakdale, Okla., to Carl and Agnes (Charles) Taggart, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Bill Whitley; brother, Gene Taggart; sister, Janiece and grandson, Garet Whitley.
Survivors include her five sons, Blake Whitley and his wife, Debbie of Cassville, Mo., Kevin Whitley and his wife, Carole of Inola, Okla., Colin Whitley and his wife, Jackie of Seminole, Okla., Brett Whitley and his wife, Nancy of Ada, Okla., and Pat Whitley and his wife, Lisa of Durant, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.
She began teaching English at Ft. Cobb, Okla., in the late 60’s and moved to Sulphur, Okla. in the early 70’s and taught High School Business, Accounting, Typing, and English classes until she retired in 1993. Bill and Nadine moved to Eagle Rock, Mo. after her retirement and she lived there until 2013. She then moved into the Baptist Village in Ada.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Taggart Royal Oak Cemetery in Butterfield, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Mo. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Okla.
