Belinda G. Petree, age 68, of Grove, OK, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 1, 2024, at her home. She was born on February 29, 1956, to Gerald and Anita (Cope) Craig in Blackwell, OK, where she grew up and graduated from high school, Class of 1974.
On June 13, 1975, Belinda married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, David Petree, and together they raised one son. She was a devoted mother and wife, always putting her family first. Belinda enjoyed participating in Bible study groups, volunteering in her community, and taking early morning walks. In 2010, Belinda and David moved to Grove, and she became a faithful member of the Church of the Shepherd and an active member of the Newcomers club. Belinda was known for her love of people and her dedication to serving others.
In her free time, Belinda loved boating and lake life. She enjoyed spending time in the sun, soaking up the rays. Belinda had a bubbly personality and was known for her ornery sense of humor and singing silly songs.
She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Connie Schones. Left to cherish her memory, husband of 49 years, David Petree, her mother, Anita Craig, son, Jared Petree (Mandy) of Morrison, OK; sister, Lori Buesing (Kenny) of Blackwell, OK and brother, Doug Craig of Moore, OK, brother-in-law Jim Schones of Ponca City, OK, grandsons, Ethan Petree (Taylor Devillier) and Brady Petree, both of Morrison, OK and one great granddaughter, Stevie Petree as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Belinda’s life was Friday, July 5th, 2024, at Church of the Shepherd, Grove, OK. Donations may also be made to Church of the Shepherd in Belinda’s memory.
