Joshua Robert “Josh Bob” Roper passed away on Sunday July 7th.

He was born on July 1, 1978, in Smithville, Mo., the firstborn son of Robert Roper and Gina Rich.

Preceding him in death was his brother, Andrew Lee Roper and father, Robert Lee Roper.

Survivors include his wife, Erin; four sons, Zachary Cook of Tennessee, Danny Roper, Eli Roper, and Hayes Roper of Eagle Rock; daughter, Andie Roper and her fiancé, Hunter Bailey, also of Eagle Rock; sister, Amy McArthur and her husband, Tommy McArthur; and his mother, Gina and stepfather, Dan Rich, all of Texas.

He was a troubadour. In his 46 years, he was a professional rodeo rider, oil rig roughneck, welding, commercial refrigeration, and hog and cattle farming.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday July 13th.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
