Lora “Fern” Boxley, 92, of Washburn, Mo. was called home by God on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
She was born September 23, 1931, in Ingles, Kan., the daughter of Wilford T. and Ada Lora Deloris (Trail) Hall, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Glenn E. Boxley, and four brothers.
Survivors include nine children, Glenn A. Boxley and his wife Kum of Warrensburg, Mo., Raymond L. Boxley and his wife Brenda of Washburn, Mo., V. Elaine Bates of Purdy, Mo., Lora “Tina” Laughary of Aurora, Mo., David C. Boxley and his wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, Colo., Daniel D. Boxley of St. Cloud, Minn., Rebecca N. Acosta of Wichita, Kan., Karroll J. Boxley and his wife Teresa of Cassville, Mo., Samuel D. Boxley and his wife Sandy of Washburn, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and two sisters, Barbara Hall Kunkle of Shelton, Wash., and Florence Takahashi of Alverado, Texas and one brother, Vernon Hall of Walsenburg, Colo.
She attended school in Canon City, Colo., graduating from Canon City High School. She embraced her role as a homemaker raising nine children. She and Glenn moved from Colorado to Washburn, Mo. in 1978. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Chaplain Robert Mattingly conducted the services.
The family received friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
