Crowder College is grateful for the donation made by Amkus School Tool program through Dinges Fire for its fire science program located at the Cassville Instructional Center.
Equipment and tools provided include: spreader, cutter, ram and other tools.
“This will benefit our students, as they use tools in coursework that will be used on the job,” said Sarah Smith, Director of Crowder College Cassville.
Dinges Fire is proud to donate these tools to higher education.
“We’d like to thank Crowder College for the opportunity to furnish these tools to help students learn hands-on skills to benefit their careers,” said Glenn Pritchard, Missouri and Southern Illinois Sales Manager for Dinges Fire.
This program provides teaching facilities the use of their tools for an academic year. At the end of the year, Dinges will allow the Crowder the opportunity to purchase the Amkus tools at a discounted price.
Additionally, if Crowder does not want to purchase the tools, a local fire department would be offered the same opportunity.
Crowder College provides Fire Fighter I and II courses to prepare a student to become an entry level fire fighter.
The sixteen-hour certificate includes Emergency Medical Technician coursework to complete.
